PV Report : Syed Wahidul Alam, Former Whip, MP and Adviser to the BNP Chairperson has passed away at around 7.30pm on Sunday at a private hospital in the capital after suffering from prolong illness. Inna—rajiun. He was 74.
His daughter Barrister Sakila Farzana confirmed his death.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury went to the hospital to see him soon after his death.
His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at south plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at 11am, the 2nd at Nayapaltan based BNP central office at 12.30pm and the third one at Jamiatul Falah ground at Chattogram after asr prayer tomorrow (May 28).
He will be buried at his family graveyard following 4th and 5th janazas at Hathazari College ground and Laliarhat mosque respectively on the following day (May 29), says a press release.
