PV Online Report : On the occasion of the 103rd birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day-2023, Chittagong Port Authority celebrated the day with due dignity by holding various programs throughout the day:-
On 17th March 2023 at 09.30 am Honorable Chairman of Chittagong Port Authority Rear Admiral M Shahjahan and all the members of CPA laid wreaths at the portrait of the Father of the Nation at the port building premises. It was attended by all the members of CPA, the officers and employees of all levels including departmental heads and Chittagong Port Employees Parishad President, General Secretary, retired freedom fighter officers/employees and other leaders.

A discussion meeting on Bangabandhu’s illustrious life and work, an essay and painting competition on the theme “Bangabandhu and Bangladesh” were organized at Shahid Fazlur Rahman Munsi Auditorium at 10.45 am. CPA Chairman Rear Admiral M. Shahjahan, NPP, BCGMS, NDC, PSC were present as chief guests and distributed the prizes among the winners. Later, a documentary based on Bangabandhu’s colorful biography and the great liberation war was screened.
On the occasion of the day, special prayers and prayers are organized in all mosques, shrines, temples and Buddhist monasteries under CPA and quality food is served to inpatients at the Port Hospital. At 04:00 PM, an internal cricket competition was organized among the children and teenagers at the Chittagong Port Sports Complex. Commodore M. Fazlar Rahman, Member (Harbor & Marine) of CPA distributed the prizes among the winners.
