PV Online Report : Mahbubul Alam, President of Centenary Trade Organization Chittagong Chamber, said that for the construction of Smart Bangladesh, arranging the national budget with a far-reaching goal in mind, especially reducing all the challenges we are currently facing and taking long-term sustainable preventive measures. To implement Vision 2041, short and long-term plans should be taken to build a self-reliant revenue system of the country.

He said these things in the pre-budget view exchange meeting on the eve of the national budget for the fiscal year 2023-2024, the senior secretary of the internal resources department and the chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Munim, Chittagong Chamber members and business leaders of the region on Wednesday.

As the revenue of the government should be increased, keeping in mind the benefits of those who provide the revenue, the President of the Chamber emphasized on the formulation of VAT, customs and tax related policies, introduction of integrated tax administration system, advanced tax or VAT adjustment and quick refund, solving various HS code problems. He proposed to remove the complexities of customs fines and time delay.
