Bangladesh finally complete the historic whitewash after beating the T20 World champion England in the third and final match by 16 runs today (March 14).

Chasing Bangladesh-set a 159-run target, England managed to score 142 runs for six wickets in the match at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium at Mirpur of Dhaka.

Earlier, England won the toss and opted to field first.

Tigers managed to score 158 runs in the stipulated 20 overs as Liton Das stroked 73 runs off 57 balls while Najmul Hossain Shanto 47 off 36 balls and Rony Talukdar took 24 off 22 balls.

Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan bagged one wicket each.

With this win, Bangladesh pulled off a 3-0 series sweep over the visitors.

England looked in control at one point after Dawid Malan had smashed a half-century. However, the visitors lost quick wickets and were eventually reduced to 142/6 in 20 overs.
