PV Sports Desk : Among the four friendly matches between the recently visiting Dhaka Club and Chittagong Club, Chittagong Club won in Golf, Lawn Tennis and Snooker. Besides, Dhaka Club won in Cricket. In tennis, veterans Md Ismail Hossain and Imam Hossain played for Chittagong Club in doubles, Men’s Singles. Mustafa Kamal of Intesa and Fardin Mostakim Tasin and Farhan Mostakim Tiham in men’s doubles.
Acting Chairman of Chittagong Club Zahirul Islam Chowdhury (Alamgir) was the chief host in an award distribution ceremony on this occasion at the club hall on March 10 (Friday) at 8 pm. In his speech, he thanked and congratulated the visiting Dhaka Club Chairman and the Executive Committee.
He emphasized on such visits to build a more cordial relationship between the newbies of both the clubs. Dhaka Club Chairman Khandkar Moshiur Rahman (Rubel) spoke as a special guest on the occasion, CCL Cricket Department Member-in-Charge Md. Moslehuddin Ahmed (Apu) and Lawn Tennis and Golf Department Member-in-charge Salamat Ullah Bahar MBA gave a congratulatory speech. Chittagong Club executive committee members respectively Salauddin Ahmed, Md. Zahid Sultan (Tipu), Abu Ahmed Hasnat, Advocate Sabrina Chowdhury, Mohammad Ayakub, Md. Rafiqul Islam Mia Babul. CCL Cricket Sub Committee Convenor Mirza Salman Ispahani and others were present. Dhaka Club Executive Committee member Professor Jahangir Chowdhury and others were present in the program moderated by CCL member Sultanul Abedin Chowdhury.
