PV Online Report: Finally, the Chittagong City Corporation ( CCC) has started the recruitment process for installing poster boards at 115 designated places in the city . The tenure of the appointed contractor will be five years. They will provide infrastructure for posting posters. Anyone can use the infrastructure or poster board to promote their organization for a fixed fee. Once the board is installed, CCC will announce a ban on putting up posters everywhere in the city except in certain places.
City Mayor’s Private Secretary Muhammad Abul Hashem told the media that tenders have been invited from individuals and organizations interested in setting up poster boards at their own expense for poster campaign at important places at an annual rent per square foot . Tenders can be collected till February 5. The spaces offered to the highest bidder will be allotted for the poster board.
The official said , with permission, posters can be pasted at the specified place for a fixed fee. Through this, along with stopping the hanging of posters everywhere, the loss of beauty of the city will be prevented. CCC’s revenue will also increase.
