PV Online Report : The supply of vegetables in the market is disrupted due to fog and severe winter across the country, as a result of which winter vegetables are being sold at slightly higher prices. However, the sellers said that the price will come down a little when the severity of winter is over.

Apart from this, the price of rice and chicken has also increased. On Friday (January 20) morning, this information was known after visiting different raw markets of Chittagong city. It has been seen on the ground that the price of each piece of cabbage and cauliflower is 40 taka depending on the size. Beans are being sold at Tk 50 per kg and cucumber at Tk 40 to Tk 45 per kg. Apart from this, tomatoes are being sold at Tk 40 to Tk 45 per kg. Patal is being sold at Tk 60 and papaya at Tk 20 to Tk 25 per kg. Apart from this, carrots, dhundal and chichinga are being sold at Tk 45 to Tk 50 and sweet pumpkin at Tk 50 to Tk 60 per kg. Eggplant is being sold at Tk 40 to Tk 50 and bitter gourd at Tk 60 to Tk 75 per kg. Each piece of rice gourd is being sold at Tk 30 to Tk 50 depending on the size. Lemon is being sold at Tk 15 to Tk 20 per hali and potato at Tk 20 to Tk 25 per kg. Raw chillies are being sold at Tk 60 to Tk 80 per kg.
