PV Online Report : After a long hiatus, the luxury cruise ship MV Bay-One is relaunching in a new guise. This tourist ship will again operate regularly on the Chittagong-Saint Martin route from December 8.
However, due to the low number of passengers and to save the huge cost of the ship, the company owned by Karnaphuli Ship Builders Limited has decided to sail one day a week. Karnaphuli Ship Builders Limited Managing Director Engineer MA Rashid gave this information in a press conference organized on MV Bay One at Chittagong’s Patenga Water Bus Terminal. He also said that this five-star, seven-story cruise ship will leave Chittagong’s Patenga every Thursday at 10 p.m.
The next day will reach St. Martin in the early morning on Friday and after one day or two nights on Saturday at 10 a.m. it will return to Chittagong by leaving St. Martin in the evening. Meanwhile, in consideration of passenger service, the ship has been redecorated and the fare has been reduced slightly compared to the previous seasons. The fare of the economy class chair of the ship has been reduced from 5 thousand round trip to 4.5 thousand and one way from 2 thousand 8 thousand to 2.5 thousand taka.
Besides, business class chair round trip has been reduced from 7 thousand to 6 thousand and one way has been reduced from 3 thousand 7 thousand to 3 thousand 3 thousand. Open deck round trip has been changed to Tk 6,300 instead of Tk 7,500 and one way Tk 3,500 instead of Tk 4,500. Besides, bunker bed round trip has been increased from 8 thousand to 6.5 thousand and one way from 5 thousand to 3 thousand 700.
