PV Online Report : Activists of Vijay Group have allegedly beaten up an activist of Chittagong University (CU) Chhatra League’s bogie-based sub-group Sixty Nine.
The incident took place at noon on Wednesday (January 12) in front of the dean’s office of the university’s sociology faculty.
He was later given first aid at the University Medical College. The incident has spread tension across the campus.
Biswajit, a student of Sanskrit department for the 2016-17 session who was injured in the beating, has lodged a written complaint with the Proctor of the Buddhist Nile University.
It is said in the written complaint that while giving directions to an admitted student, Faisal Mahmud, a student of the 2016-17 session of the history department, and Md. Rifat, Minhaj of IER 16-17 session, Md. Belal of 16-17 session of English department, along with Jibu of the same session, was beaten randomly by 5 other unidentified persons.
