PV Desk : The proposed budget of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) for the next financial year (2021-2022) has been announced at Tk 2,463.96 crore. As before, the announced budget also depends on grants. A maximum revenue target of Tk 1,570 crore has been set for the development grant sector.
City Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury announced the budget at noon on Sunday (June 27) at the city’s Theater Institute. He announced his first budget as Mayor of the current (sixth) council of CCC.
At the same time, the mayor also announced the revised budget of Tk 1,036,450,000 for the fiscal year 2020-2021. The size of the proposed budget for this financial year was two thousand 436 crore 30 lakh 42 thousand taka.
In the budget session, the city mayor said, “I presented the proposed budget to the city dwellers with the expectation of reflecting the hopes and aspirations of the city dwellers and the dream of making the city an environmentally, technologically and economically prosperous and livable city.” The mayor said urban development is not possible with everything from the government. I will always strive for the cooperation, thinking, talent and proper advice of the city dwellers.
