Ctg Port has advanced a lot in world rankings: Tarafdar Ruhul Amin

PV Desk : Mentioning that if Chittagong port survives, Bangladesh will survive, the port’s top terminal operator, Saif Powertech Ltd. Managing Director Tarafdar Md. Ruhul Amin said that the position of Chittagong Port in the world rankings, which was close to the 100th position a few years ago, has now advanced to 57th position.

He said that Saif Powertech Limited has been acting as the terminal handling operator of Chittagong Port since 2006.

At present Saif Powertech Limited is handling more than 80 percent of the containers in Chittagong Port. In this case, the importance of Chittagong port is increasing day by day due to the joint efforts of all concerned including journalists.

He made the remarks at an exchange meeting with journalists organized by the Chittagong Press Club on Monday (February 22nd).

Press Club General Secretary Chowdhury Farid gave a welcome address at the meeting chaired by Chittagong Press Club President Ali Abbas. Joint Secretary Nazrul Islam thanked the senior vice president of the press club Salahuddin Reza. President of Chittagong Journalists Union Mohammad Ali and General Secretary Mohammad Shamsul Islam addressed the function.

Chittagong Press Club lifelong donor Tarafdar Ruhul Amin said that the role of journalists cannot be ended as the country is moving forward under the able leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister. In addition to the Corona epidemic, I have seen various natural disasters, how journalists deal with risk. Realizing those issues, Saif Powertech Limited has come forward for the welfare of the journalists of Chittagong.

He also announced his involvement in various welfare activities of the Press Club in the future.
