PV Desk: 8 new beds have been set up in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Chattogram Medical College (CMC) Hospital. With this, the total number of ICU beds in the hospital stood at 30.
Of these, 20 will be for general patients and 10 will be used for covid patients.
The new beds in the ICU will provide more services to the patients, hospital officials said.
State Minister for Education and Chairman of CCC Hospital Management Committee Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel inaugurated the new 8-bed ICU at 12:30 pm on Saturday (November 21).
He said the ICU is very important for critically ill patients. But the ICU crisis in Chiattogram is long overdue. With the installation of new beds in the ICU of CCC Hospital, the critically ill patients will get services more easily.
Chattogram Medical College Hospital Director Brigadier General Humayun Kabir, Deputy Director Dr. Aftabul Islam and others were present on the occasion.
