PV Desk : Bangladesh and India on Sunday held the sixth home minister-level talks where both the countries discussed different issues including cooperation between the neighbours with special focus on security cooperation.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan and his Indian counterpart Rajnath Singh lead their respective sides in the meeting held at the conference room in the Home Ministry here.
The ministers discussed issues related to security, border management, cooperation in countering illegal activities and travel arrangements at the meeting that began at 10:30 am and continued for one and half hour.
Earlier on Friday, the visiting Indian home minister said Bangladesh and India have made a “notable progress” in transforming land and maritime boundaries into zones of peace and tranquillity.
“India attaches great significance to ties with Bangladesh,” said the Indian minister.
The last home minister-level talks were held in July 2016 in New Delhi.
