PV Desk : Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has set an ‘example’ by taking actions against her own party men during the ongoing drive against terrorism, extortion, graft and drug abuse.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has set an example before the nation by taking actions against her own party leaders … such actions were never taken by any prime minister in the past,” Quader said, speaking as the chief guest at an extending meeting of Dhaka city north Awami League at a city hotel here.
Quader, also general secretary of the ruling Awami League, told the meeting that none would be spared if found involved in misdeeds in the tenure of the incumbent prime minister. “Surveillances are in force against those who have maintained relations with criminal activities. Whatever may be their identities, they would be taken into account,” the minister added.
