PV Desk :  President Abdul Hamid has left Dhaka for London for regular medical check-ups and eye treatment.

The 75-year-old president, who has been suffering from glaucoma for a long time, has flown with a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at 10:55 am on Saturday (July 7).

Eye treatment will be conducted at Moorfields Eye Hospital while health check-ups at Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London, President’s press secretary Zoynal Abedin told the media.

President Abdul Hamid is scheduled to return to Bangladesh on July 15, after wrapping up his 8-day visit.

Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, Local Government Minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain and Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, chiefs of 3 uniformed military forces bade farewell to the President at the airport.
