PV Desk : The schedules of upcoming national parliamentary polls to be announced in late October, said Election Commission (EC) Secretary Helaluddin Ahmed Saturday (June 23).
Helal was addressing a meeting arranged upon the law & order measures for Basail municipality polls in Tangail, at noon.
The Election Commission (EC) has exchanged views with the officials of different law enforcement agencies, in a bid to make the polls to the cities including Basail municipality fair, flawless and peaceful.
“Hoping the June 30 municipality polls will be an acceptable one. All the preparations have been completed already,” he added.
However, the meeting was chaired by Tangail Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Nurul Amin.
Three mayoral candidates are contesting in the Basail municipality polls to be held on June 30.
