PV Desk : Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Shipping today recommended supplying necessary equipments to Chattogram (Ctg) port through expert opinions for increasing its ability, security and reducing risk.
The recommendation was made at the 55th meeting of the committee at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with Major (retd) Rafikul Islam, Bir Uttam, in the chair.
Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, M Abdul Latif, Shipping Secretary and Chattogram Port Authority Chairman attended the meeting, among others.
The committee discussed the overall activities of Chattogram Port and Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) at the meeting.
