PV Desk : Family members and relatives of martyred journalist Selina Parvin’s son Sumon Zahid, who was found dead in Dhaka, claimed the death as murder and demanded investigation.

Police recovered a slit-throat body of Sumon Zahid lying beside a railroad in Khilgaon Bagicha area in Dhaka on Thursday (June 14). Police assumed it was an accident.

The deceased, identified as Sumon Zahid, 52, was a banker and a resident of North Shahjahanpur in the capital.

Relatives alleged that it is a mysterious death and Sumon Zahid was murdered in a planned manner.

“Sumon was a man of sound mind. The thought of suicide is just out of the question for him. He used to use his bike whenever he would go out. We can’t figure out why he didn’t take his bike on Thursday,” relatives said.

Deceased Sumon’s brother-in-law Bulbul told  that Sumon received several death threats earlier. Some unknown men called Sumon Thursday morning and killed him in a planned manner. We demand proper investigation of the matter.
