PV Desk : AJM Nasir Uddin, General Secretary of City Awami League and former City Mayor said the conspiracy against Awami League has not stopped. The BNP-Jamaat alliance is conspiring to bring the Awami League government into disarray.

He was speaking at a separate meeting of the executive committee of the A, B and C units of the Awami League under Uttar Kattli Ward No. 10 in the city on Wednesday (October 14).

Nasir said Khaleda Zia’s son Tariq Zia is sitting in London and leading. The Awami League opponents of this country have joined him. He is trying to create a volatile situation in the country by keeping the unresolved issue in front of him. City Awami League has taken initiative to organize and strengthen the leaders and workers of all levels starting from the grassroots of Awami League to prevent this mischievous attempt of the opposition.

As part of this initiative, it has been decided to hold executive committee meetings in 129 units of the metropolis. If the grassroots is strong, if it is organized, it is only a matter of time before any conspiracy of the opposition is prevented.

Acting President of City Awami League Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury was present as the chief guest  while City Awami League Vice President Altaf Hossain Chowdhury Bachchu, Joint General Secretary M Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, Organizing Secretary Noman Al Mahmud, Chowdhury Hasan Hasni, Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Mohammad Hossain, Cultural Secretary Abu Taher, Deputy Publicity Secretary Shahidul Alam spoke on the occasion

Besides, Akbar Shah Thana Awami League President Sultan Ahmed Chowdhury, General Secretary Kazi Altaf Hossain, North Kattli Ward Awami League Convener Nisar Uddin Ahmed Monju, Joint Convener Iqbal Chowdhury, Habibur Rahman, Ghiyasuddin Jewel, Unit Leader Lokman Ali, Engineer Tapan Dutta, Advocate Anwar Kabir, Anwar Hossain and others addressed the meeting.
