PV Desk : The ‘Mukti Isolation Center’ established at the initiative of M Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, the joint General Secretary of Nagar Awami League and the mayoral candidate nominated by Awami League in the Chattogram City Corporation election, is coming to an end.
The 60-bed ‘Mukti Corona Isolation Center’ started its journey on June 28 at the Wedding Park Community Center in Tulatali, Bakalia area of the city.
Iftekhar Kamal Khan, coordinator of the isolation center, told the media that there were no patients in the isolation center for two days. The last two patients were admitted. They also returned home with clearance. Some furniture has already been removed. The isolation center will be officially closed in a couple of days.
The isolation center was started with 6 doctors, 16 nurses, 6 ward boys, 2 nurses, 2 cleaners and 4 security guards.
Earlier, the first field hospital in Fauzdarhat and the Corona Isolation Center in Halishahar were closed due to lack of patients and financial crisis. Besides, the City Corporation Isolation Center, which was started on the initiative of Chattogram City Corporation, was later introduced as a quarantine center. On the other hand, the renovated Holy Crescent Hospital has also been shut down at the initiative of the Private Hospital Owners Association.
