PV Online Report : Although there are no exact statistics, doctors say that in the span of five years, there has been a huge increase in heart disease among young people. Five years ago, when the number of youth and young people was less than 5 percent, now it has reached more than 30 percent, according to cardiologists.

Doctors are responsible for such a situation due to excessive consumption of junk food, changes in lifestyle, and reduced physical activity. Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital’s Cardiology Department Associate Professor Dr. Ibrahim Chowdhury said, ‘Even 5 to 10 years ago, heart disease was not found among young people.

But in recent times many patients below 40 years are available. Which makes us think. But the time has come to give importance to the matter. Research is needed on this. Besides, everyone including the family should be aware. CMC Hospital’s assistant professor of heart disease expressed concern about the increase in heart disease among young people.

Md. Rizwan Rehan said, “Lack of physical work, the habit of eating junk food is more common among today’s youth and youth.” If this habit is not changed, it will become more serious in the future.
