xPV Online Report : Speakers at a meeting of the executive council of the Chittagong City Awami League said the incident at the Pujamandap in Comilla during the Durgotsab in the autumn was nothing but a marked quarter apolitics. Those who are the planners of various incidents have once again incited communal insanity by making dramas of insulting religious texts. Which is a heinous crime against humanity. Against this, the zero tolerance policy adopted by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina must be followed. The tradition of non-communal Bangladesh must be protected. Destroyers of communal harmony must be uprooted.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury said, “Nagar Awami League takes into account the suggestions of all in taking every program and implementing its decisions, so there is no room for questioning in this regard.” He called upon all to unite and play a more responsible role.

The speakers said this at a meeting of the executive council of the city Awami League at the city’s Theater Institute hall on Sunday. The leaders called upon the administration and law enforcement agencies to resist all malpractices of the communal forces.

The meeting also directed the ward leaders to fill up the information form book and submit it to the city Awami League office by October 28. At the same time, it is said that the process of unit and ward conference will start from November 18 in all the wards where the information form has been filled.

The meeting was attended by Vice President Naeem Uddin Chowdhury, Adv. Sunil Sarkar, Adv. Ibrahim Hossain Chowdhury Babul, Khorshed Alam Sujan, Zahirul Alam Dobhas, General Secretary AJM Nasir Uddin, Board of Directors Badiul Alam, Noman Al Mahmud, Shafiq Adnan, Chowdhury Hasan Mahmud Hasni, Shafiqul Islam Farooq, Hasan Mahmud Samsher, Adv. Sheikh Iftekhar Simul Chowdhury, Chandan Dhar, Mohammad Hossain and Zahur Ahmed among others were present on the occasion.
