PV Online Report : East Delta University (EDU) is moving from a traditional teaching-oriented university to a research-based university. In the case of faculty recruitment, we are therefore giving priority to interest in research. Therefore, besides teaching, every faculty member should also concentrate on research.
EDU Founder Vice Chairman Saeed Al Noman said this to the newly appointed faculty members on Sunday. He was a guest at the event titled ‘Meet the Vice Chairman’ in the seminar room of the campus.
New members are being recruited every semester to enrich the faculty team of the university. This summer semester is no exception. The event was organized to give the new faculty members a thorough understanding of the university’s vision, mission and responsibilities and to convey the expectations of the university authorities to them. In order to develop this feature among the students, the faculty members also have to nurture these among themselves.
The new faculty members present on the occasion were Ahmed Al Arefin, Shah Mohammad Mominul Islam, Ferdous Bin Hafeez, Rafsan Mahbub Chowdhury, Shahedul Hasan, SM Tahmidul Islam, Saikat Chowdhury, Sayeda Suwaiba Anwar, Moumita Sen Sharma, Mohammad Hasan Shakil and Asif Hasan.
